Ridge Gourd Tomato Bengal Gram Coconut Curry Andhra Style

          Hi friends, today my mom's special recipe Ridge Gourd gravy recipe.. This is very simple to prepare and so fast to cook, its good to serve lunch box also less time o make this recipe... In this recipe am using bengal gram and coconut it very good combination... So friends lets move to recipe details......... 

Ridge Gourd Tomato Bengal Gram Coconut Curry
Ingredients :-


  • Ridge ground 1/4 kg
  • Bengal gram 1/4 cup
  • Fresh coconut 3 tbsp
  • Ginger small piece
  • Salt to taste
  • Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1, 1/2 tsp
  • Onions 2
  • Tomatoes 2
  • Oil 6 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves
Preparation :-


  1. First take a cooker add bengal gram, water and boil it for 2 vissels then switch off the gas. Then cool it, when pressure is gone then open the lid and strain water and keep it a side.. Now take a pan add oil to heat, when oil is heated then add mustard seeds, cumin seeds to fry... Now add chopped onion and mix it well and fry it for lite pink color......
  2. When onions are soft then add chopped ridge gourd, chopped tomatoes, salt, turmeric powder mix it well for..... Fry it for 2 more minutes, and then add crush ginger and mix it well for, then close it with lid and boil it for again 2 more minutes...
  3. After 2 minutes, open the lid ridge is boiled then add boiled bengal gram water (When you use bengal gram boiled water will be use it) and mix it well for...... Then add red chili powder mix it then close it with lid and boil it for 2 more minutes.....
  4.  After 2 minutes then add crush fresh coconut mix it, then add curry leaves again mix it then leave it for 30 sec then switch off the gas and leave it for 1 minute then move it to a serving bowl......

Ridge Gourd Bengal Gram Dal Fry Recipe How to Make

Ingredients :-

  • Ridge Gourd (Beerakaya) 1/4 kg
  • Bengal Gram (Senagapappu) 1/4 cup
  • Onions 2
  • Urad dal 1 tsp
  • Cumin seeds 1 tsp
  • Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Red Chili powder 1 tsp
  • Garlic cloves 3
  • Oil 5 tbsp
  • Curry leaves
Preparation :-

  1. First take a pan add bengal gram, water and boil it for 95%, then move it to a plate... Now take a pan add oil to heat, then add urad dal, cumin seeds, mustard seeds to fry, then add chopped onions to fry......

  2. When onions are fried then add chopped ridge gourd, salt, turmeric powder and mix it well for.... Now add curry leaves and mix it again, then close with lid and cook it for 2 minutes in low flame...... 
  3. After 2 minutes, open the lid and mix it well for. When ridge is soft (perfect soft) then add boiled bengal gram and mix it well for.......
  4. And cook it for 1 minute in low flame, then add crush garlic, red chili powder, pinch of salt and mix it well for.. And fry it for 30 sec and then switch off the gas......
  5. After 30 sec switch off the gas and put it for 1 minute and then move it to a serving bowl..
Now the dish is ready to serve with hot steam rice.... Its good to with rice and also serve this with side dish with pappu charu (tur dal charu) rasam... And also serve with roti, chapati... Brinjal Dry Mango Desi Style Recipe How to Prepare

         Hi friends, today recipe is Dry Mango Brinjal Desi Recipe....  This recipe is my grand mother recipe... My grand mother prepare like these type recipe's she love to eat this very much... My grand nother prepare like lady's finger, brinjal, drumstick, cucumber etc... She love to eat only gravy's (pulusulu) and she eat this gravy's she add some sugar and eat this she love sour and sweet ha ha ha :)...... Not only gravy's she will expert in chutneys (pachadulu)... I will share it in my blogg... Ok then lets move to this curry is very simple to prepare its time will be take only 15 minutes only..... But first soak dry mango in water and then start the process it will be so easy...... So friend's lets see the process to make this gravy step by step pic's here.....

Ingredients :-

  • Brinjal's 250 grams
  • Dry Mangoes 1/2 cup
  • Onions 2
  • Tomatoes medium 3
  • Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Red chili powder 1, 1/2 tsp
  • Oil 5 tbsp
  • Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • fenugreek seeds 1/4 tsp
  • Curry leaves

Preparation :-

  1. First take a bowl add water and add dry mangoes soak it for 15 to 20 minutes....... After 20 minutes, take a bowl add oil to heat, when oil is heated and then add mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds to fry....
  2. Now add chopped onions, salt, turmeric powder and then mix it well for..... When onions are fried then add chopped tomatoes mix it well for.... 
  3. When tomatoes are soft then add chopped brinjal pieces, red chili powder, soaked dry mangoes and mix it well for........ 
  4. And now close with lid and boil it for 1 minute in slow flame, after 1 minute brinjal is soft then add water 1/4 glass mix it again close with lid and boil it for water will be vapour......
  5. Water will be vapour once mix it then switch off the gas and live it for 5 minutes and then move it to a serving bowl and serve it....... 
Now the dish is ready to serve...... Its good to eat with rice, roti, pulka, chapati etc...., it perfect to eat this curry.... It will be so tasty and delicious recipe....            Hi friends, today I am sharing one different and Desi style recipe Yam curry... This recipe is so spicy & sour, actually my grand mother prepare this curry / gravy / pulusu in your child-hood days... When we to my grand moms home she must be prepare this curry for me!!! why means I love this curry. Not only my grand mother my amma also prepare this, but my grand mother prepare style is different my amma  prepare style is different but taste is yummy.... why mean's amma is amma right.... love u maaaaaaaa....... :) My amma so sweet she is very caring about me, my dad and my sister she is always thinking about her family only.. When any body like my friends or my sister friends came to our home then she will prepare so many types of different snacks prepare so caring and loving... You know guys my friends came to my home only for my amma not to meet me ha ha ha.... My amma not only amma my world best friend..... and mother love u maaaaaaaaaaaaa and I miss u alot........☹ I miss u alot...... Ur in my heart ma I never forgot u you always in my heart  you are my soul--------- no words to share my speechless guys my heart ......... ok lets move to curry... Friends this curry is very simple to prepare and so easy to cook so lets see the process to make this curry........

Ingredients :-

  • Yam 250 grams
  • Onions 2
  • Tomatoes 2
  • Tamarind small lemon size 10 grams
  • Red Chili powder 2 tbsp 
  • Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Jaggery 3 tbsp
  • Oil 8 tsp
  • Mustard seeds 1 tsp
  • Fenugreek seeds 1/2 tsp
  • Curry leaves
Preparation :-

  1. First take yam peel it and clean, then cut it small pieces and put it in water...... Now take a wok add oil to heat, when oil is heated then add mustard seeds, fenugreek seeds to fry.. Then add chopped onions to fry, now add curry leaves and fry it for soft......
  2. When onions are soft then add turmeric powder, salt or rock salt mix it well for.... then add chopped tomato pieces and mix it well for...... Boil it for tomatoes are soft...
  3. Tomatoes are soft then add chopped yam pieces, red chili powder and mix it well for......
  4. Now close it with lid and boil it for 2 minutes in low flame..... After 2 minutes, open the lid mix it well for.. Then add socked tamarind mash it then make water and add this tamarind water and mix it well......
  5. Now add jaggery  and mix it well for, then close with lid and boil it for 5 to 10 minutes in medium to low flame.... When the gravy is thick like this the switch off the gas and then live it for 10 to 15 minutes.... and then move it to a serving bowl......
Now the dish is ready to serve....... Its very tasty and spicy and sour sweet curry / gray... Actually my grand mother add jaggery in this curry like brinjal curry, ladys finger, what ever gravy / curry's / pulusu lu she add sugar or jaggery, its like sweet sour and spicy she like to she like to this type...             Hi friends, today I will share one different and desi old recipe Thotakura mamidikaya pappu / Amaranth leaves raw mango dal recipe.... I will share one of the recipe Amaranth dal in my blog, this is 2nd one.. In first dal recipe prepared with tamarind now in this dal am not using tamarind am use only mango its taste is so different and tangy taste... One special in this recipe is if you have mud pot try this recipe in that the taste will be yummy...... My grand mother will prepare this recipe in mud pot only she is a great chef...   • Amaranth leaves (Thotakura) 4 bunches
  • Raw Mango 1 big size
  • Tomatoes 3 medium size
  • Onions 2 medium size
  • Green chilies 10 (as u like spicy)

  • Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp

  1. First take amaranth leaves (thotakura) cut it small pieces and clean it then add to cooker, then add chopped onions, chopped mango, chopped green chilies, chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder and then close with lid and cook it for 4 whistle, then switch off the gas and cool it for........

Now take a wok add oil to heat, when oil is heated then add urad dal, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, curry leaves, chopped red chilies, hing, fenugreek seeds to fry...... Then add mashed dal and mix it well... And boil it for 3 minutes in low flame.....

  5. When onions are soft and lite brown then add ginger garlic paste mix it well for, it will be came good smell then add chopped tomatoes and mix it soft.. and put the lid and fry it for 5 minutes in medium flame..
